Information we receive
- Brief and contact information: your email address, the product needs, budget, preferences, timing, and other details you choose to include in a Fast Find brief.
- Customer-support information: messages, revision or refund requests, and our responses.
- Payment confirmation: Stripe may provide us with the payment amount, status, date, transaction identifier, and limited billing details needed to match and support an order. Stripe processes the payment. We do not receive or store your full card number or card security code.
- Basic technical information: our hosting and security providers may process information such as IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, and timestamps to deliver and protect the site.
- Site analytics: Google Analytics may receive information about pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source, and interactions such as opening a merchant link or beginning checkout.
- Device-local choices: features such as a saved product list may store preferences in your browser. That local information stays on the device unless you choose to share it.
How we use information
We use information only as reasonably needed to:
- process and match an order to its Fast Find brief;
- research, deliver, revise, and support the service;
- handle cancellations, refunds, disputes, and fraud prevention;
- operate, secure, and improve the site and customer experience; and
- meet accounting, tax, recordkeeping, and other legal obligations.
Site analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and improve the shopping research and Fast Find experience. Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers. We do not intentionally send your Fast Find brief, support-message contents, full card details, or other checkout form contents to Google Analytics.
You can limit cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics does not prevent you from reading the site or purchasing Fast Find.
Payments and service providers
Stripe processes payments under its own privacy terms. We may also provide limited information to vendors that help with hosting, communications, security, professional advice, and customer support. They may use it only to provide those services or meet their own legal obligations.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the rights and safety of customers or others, investigate misuse, or complete a business transaction such as a merger or asset sale, subject to applicable protections.
No sale or behavioral-ad sharing
We do not sell personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use a Fast Find brief to target ads to you on other companies' services. If that practice changes, we will update this policy and provide any notice or choice required by law before the change applies.
Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above. As a general practice, Fast Find briefs and ordinary support correspondence may be kept for up to 24 months after the last interaction so we can provide revisions, resolve issues, and improve service quality. Transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute records may be kept for up to seven years when reasonably necessary. Basic security logs are generally retained for shorter periods.
We may retain information longer when required by law, needed for an active dispute, or requested by you. Stripe and other providers control their own retention under their policies. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details where reasonably practical.
Please do not send sensitive information
Fast Find does not need payment-card numbers, account passwords, government identifiers, precise health information, biometric data, or similarly sensitive personal information. Please do not include it in a brief or support message.
Your U.S. privacy choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to access, correct, delete, or provide a copy of personal information about you, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. We do not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Submit a request through the contact page. We may need to verify your identity and, for an authorized-agent request, the agent's authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider it where state law provides an appeal right.
Children
Cart Signal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child submitted information, use the contact page so it can be reviewed.
Changes and questions
We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date. Questions and privacy requests can be submitted through the contact page.
